exhibit-maker / illustrator / slime mold lady
I make exhibitions, public art, and illustrations to engage people in current scientific research and little-known aspects of the natural world. I've been a scientific illustrator and science illustration educator since 2010, and I've worked in the art, graphics, collections and education departments of firms and museums since 2011.
My creative endeavors are influenced by the landscapes I grew up in. North Carolina and northern Florida are some of the most biodiverse areas of the country. There grew my love for spore-bearing organisms, and along with it the discovery that art can truly shape perceptions of the natural world.
